Home Court Advantage

Canada Cup MTB Race was a few weeks ago. We had tons of riders from around the country racing at our local race course. Kinda nice to have home court advantage. As well, we didn't have to get up early since we are 6.2 minutes to the race course with preferential parking! Good Times! This is what the pros must feel like. Wendy ended up being our family podium this weekend. Next race... Australia! Flight Center Epic!

Go Pro Hero

I have been researching cool video camera's that are used for action sports. I was on Dave Narona's Life Coaching site and noticed his "Go Pro Hero" video footage for sledding, MTB, Motocross etc... to I decided to start looking into them. It turns out they make a wicked product and can be used on surf and wakeboards too! Hardwood had one so Noah and Kevin checked it out and did some video footage.

Backyard Antics

Its a sunny evening in Horseshoe Valley. We have been messing around on the slackline in the backyard. Noah & Kevin trying to do a double. We are working on our slackline 360! Hannah is the rockstar making it all the way across.

The ski resort was replacing the old chairs from the chairlift last year. I asked the guys replacing them if I could buy one and they said yes. I gave the chairlift seat to the welding shop who made a bracket for a swing and.... boom... a backyard "first date" as the sun sets behind our place.

Uncle Norm Would be Pleased

Well... Uncle Norm has inspired us! To keep our bikes clean and leave nothing to chance! Canada Cup preparations today! Pre riding the course, kids cleaning their own bikes and even water bottles all dialed and ready to go!! Wow, Norm would be impressed!

Beautiful weather here in Ontario for the last 2 weeks with heaps of days over 30 degrees. Race day tomorrow looks the same for weather - sunny, hot and beautiful! Wendy, Hannah & Noah are all racing, while Kevin is coaching athletes in hopes to get a few kids on the Nationals Project going to Canmore in July!

SUNNY SKIES in ONTARIO

We thought about heading south for the March Break this year but really there in NO NEED. The whole week has been SUNNY skies with temperatures in the teens. The snow is melting like crazee. Hannah & I went snowboarding today in T-Shirts, no hats, no gloves etc... It was amazing! Had some sweet rides this week as well!

Bathroom Updates

As you may recall last fall we started a bathroom renovation. We are making final preparations for the Johnson family from Australia. This bathroom is one of the things we need to get done before thier arrival in July. Everybody has been chippin' in to help with the reno - Hannh on gutting, Noah on tiling and Wendy on painting. We are on tiling this week and all is coming together. Wonder how may Dad is doing with his bathroom reno?
